01 – WHO AM I
OMGApollo (Luis Rivera) is a recording artist from New Haven, CT currently residing in Nashville, TN focusing on his songwriting career. From producing and recording his own songs, he steps on stages to perform the final product of what can be memorable to most people.
02 – MY SOUND
A Hip-Hop artist whose sound is influenced by the lyrical styles of Drake, Eminem, and Bad Bunny, while drawing production inspiration from artists such as Tainy, Jon Bellion, and Kanye West.
03 – MY STORY
As a middle schooler, OMGApollo found his passion for music by joining his school’s orchestra as a cellist. The orchestra played music he had never heard before, which sparked his curiosity and encouraged him to explore music beyond the Puerto Rican sounds he grew up with, such as Salsa and Reggaeton.
His cousin, Luis Fonseca, gave him a cracked copy of FL Studio 12, where he first began producing music. After over a decade of creating music, what started as a hobby evolved into a passion that he continues to pursue.
In 2017, his uncle, Edwin Martinez, gave him his first opportunity to perform at the Puerto Ricans United 2nd Annual Puerto Rican Festival at the New Haven Green. He has performed at the festival ever since, and through these performances, he has developed a strong stage presence that continues to set him apart. In 2024, OMGApollo performed at S.O.B.’s in Queens, NY, for a showcase that further fueled his hunger to perform in front of live audiences.
After graduating from Full Sail University in 2025 with an Associate of Science degree in Music Business, he planned to move to Nashville, TN, to pursue his songwriting career and continue building a livelihood in music.
04 – INSPIRATION
The inspiration comes from the people I perform in front of. I am to be impactful through my performance and words of reassurance to people who are questioning if they have what it takes to chase a dream whole heartedly.
